An incredible piece of Victorian jewelry — and one you simply don’t see every day.

This antique North Star panel bracelet features a series of softly domed gold panels, five of which are centered with sparkling brilliant-cut diamonds set within beautifully engraved celestial starbursts. The articulated construction allows the panels to move individually, giving the bracelet an amazing drape around the wrist while still having the substantial presence of antique gold.

The design is characteristic of the Victorian Archaeological Revival movement of the late 19th century, when jewelers looked to ancient forms, rich goldwork and ornamental motifs for inspiration. Celestial star designs were particularly fashionable in Victorian jewelry of this period. Comparable English examples are dated to approximately the 1870s.

At 21 grams, this is an especially substantial example. The bracelet measures approximately ½ inch wide and incorporates five diamonds totaling approximately 0.50 carat, each nestled into its own hand-engraved starburst.

The warm antique gold finish, gently puffed square panels and tiny connecting details give it exactly the character we love in true period jewelry. Turn it over and the craftsmanship is just as beautiful—the individually constructed panels and original-style articulated connections reveal how much work went into creating the piece.

Finished with a box-style clasp and safety chain for added security.

This is one of those pieces that feels distinctly antique without feeling remotely dated. Wear it alone as the statement it deserves to be, or mix it into a modern gold stack.

Condition: Very good antique condition with age-appropriate wear consistent with a piece of this period. Please review photographs carefully as they form part of the condition description. One small dent is noted.
